Photo Challenge Day 4

Today is more of a gratitude picture than a happiness one.  It was a long day of running errands.  Between taking kids to doctor appointments, the sick dog to the vet (and then picking her up later), going to the school, buying groceries, etc. it was a very hectic day.  I ended it with Scarlet climbing up in the playground in our back yard (She has never climbed in there before).  I heard a thud and looked up to see her falling out and hitting the ladder on the way down.  I was so scared that she was majorly hurt.  Lucking she was walking and back to normal before bed. That being said, I kept racking my brain for a moment when I felt happy and was coming up blank.  Instead I am putting picture of my keys on here because with all the car repairs we have had to do so far this year, I am very grateful that I was able to run all  my errands and that my car worked perfectly.

Today was a good day. I ran into a friend while I was at Lowes with the two little kids buying seeds for our vegetable garden.  It was so great so see her and we visited for several minutes. Then later that day I was surprised when the older kids got home from school to a card and beautiful flower on my front step (from that same friend).  It was so sweet I probably smiled for 5 minutes.

Today was a crazy day between the house and the kids.  I got everything done that had to be, but my happy moments today were nap time and bed time.  🙂

Tuesday night I went to church for our monthly midweek meeting.  While there we got working on a service project crocheting ground mats for the homeless out of plastic grocery bags.  I normally do not like crocheting because I when I have tried making blankets I never finish.  I work for a while and give up.  I am however finding it very relaxing and satisfying doing this right now.  I also love how with the big crochet hook I can see progress very quickly.

Strawberries!  I went to the grocery store today with the two little ones.  Phoenix likes me to tell him what items we are going to get, so that he can help me remember.  He also is sure to let me know if we are ever out of bananas and need more.  Today after getting bananas he saw the strawberries and got super excited.  I couldn’t help getting some.  I cut them up and we all had strawberries with lunch.  It was fun seeing their excitement as they ate and had juices running down their chins.

Today’s photo is a little blurry but I love it anyway.  From catching Xander jumping with the hose to Jerrica’s feet in the bottom as she jumped onto her back.  It was a wonderful day and the kids had a great time playing outside with friends.
