On Saturday last week Brandt went to help a family in our ward pack to move. While he was there he found out that they were just getting rid of their old trampoline outside. He called me about it, and then brought it home with him. It has been great!!! The kids love it, and are actually more interested in that then in screen time. (Tim on the tv, computer, or any other electronic) On Saturday alone I think they spent a good 4 hours on the trampoline alone and Brandt didn’t get home until after lunch.
Phoenix even loves it. He crawls out into the middle and kneels up and lets the older kids bounce him. He just giggles and giggles the whole time. Infact if he is ever inside while the older kids are out jumping he stands at the door and just sobs.
This week is spring break from school. Luckily the weather seems to go along with it, and so far it has been sunny and nice out. I talked to the kids over the weekend and we all decided that there would be no screen time before 4pm each day. So far they haven’t fought me on that, but Xander does normally start asking at noon each day “What time is it?” I am really happy to see the kids asking to go outside to play, and having fun together!
On Tuesday we went out to the park together. It was the reward Xander decided that he wanted for filling up his incentive jar with stones. I have jars for each of the kids and as they do chores, or help out without being asked they can earn stones for their jar. If they fight or do bad things stones can be taken away. Once the jar is full they can have a special date with mom or dad. Xander decided he wanted to go to the park with me and to bring everyone along with. We packed up a picnic lunch to eat there, and took off. They all had a lot of fun playing and then walking along the walking trail. Jerrica was so worn out afterwards she even asked to take a nap.
Tuesday ended with Daddy and the big kids sleeping out on the trampoline under the stars. I stayed out there with them for a little while telling stories and just watching the stars, but then I came inside to sleep. It is probably better for my back, and that way Phoenix and Scarlet are where I can hear them.

Love the post and the pictures!! What a bunch of good looking kids!!
