FO1C6784So much has happened since my last post.  Seriously…  It has been almost a year and I haven’t posted anything.  I have been finding myself lately kicking myself for not writing things down, and so I am going to get back into doing our family blog to help me journal the journal of my family. Here are some highlights over the last year:

Covey made the archery team at school this year.  I have never seen him get excited over anything extracurricular before, but he would come home excited about how close he got to the bulls-eye.  He was also very excited to get a bow and arrow set for Christmas so that he could practice target shooting at home.

Shortly after getting into archery, covey broke his arm.  He fell off of some steps at the church and landed over extending his hand which resulted in a buckle fracture.  While he is normally right handed, and this was his left hand – he actually pulls left handed on his bow.  Luckily the doctor said that he was still ok to do archery, and that pulling would not strain the bone while it healed.

Xander turned 8 in november last year and decided to be baptized.  He was so happy that he bounced around all day long.  He was also super excite to join cubscouts, and within 2 weeks earned his first rank.

Phoenix and Scarlet are best friends at home.  It is only the two of them with me while the older kids are at school.  I am so glad they get along so well!

January was an extra special month!  Both my mom and my best friend both came out to visit.

Xander lost his front tooth January 28th.  With 2 days he lost his other front tooth while we were at the store.  I had a bit of fun listening to him with his lisp and toothless smile!

February and March were rough months for our family with sickness.  In February Covey missed an entire week while he had Influenza B.  It then passed through all five kids.  We didn’t do much other than take turns on who got to get out of the house, and watched a lot of movies. March brought a round of viruses that gave the kids high fevers followed by cold symptoms.  This time it went though everyone except for Jerrica.  I am looking forward to summer and less illness.
